“one for all”
Laine Brew Co, one of the UK’s fastest growing craft breweries, is offering brewing apprenticeships that seek to attract and inspire budding brewers from diverse backgrounds to join its rapidly growing brewing operations.
Laine is a brewer and pub owner that operates a production brewery in the South Downs, together with three brewpubs and 60 pubs, ranging from Brighton to Birmingham.
The “One For All” apprenticeship is run in conjunction with HIT Training. Additional training will also be undertaken by the University of Nottingham Centre for Brewing Science.
The 18 to 24-month programme will train the successful applicant in all areas of beer and brewing. This is an exceptional chance to get a true head start in the industry.
We are aiming this apprenticeship at applicants that come from groups not currently represented in the brewing industry. This could be for reasons of gender, race, sexuality, disability or any other reason. We want to learn too! We are planning for One For All to be a multi-year programme.
The basics:
Level 4 Apprenticeship (equivalent to a foundation degree).
Start date May 2020
18-24 months (dependent on progress)
Minimum wage + expenses
Based in either London or Brighton
20% of work week spent in learning environments (either classroom or in work)
All course and training costs covered
A mentor will be provided who will be separate from Laine
Applicants will be expected to take undertake the General Certificate in Brewing upon completion of the Apprenticeship.

16 years or older
Resident in England
Not in full-time education
Interest in beer and brewing
